On Complaining and Comparing

This is something i have learned to accept just a few months ago. A lot of what is written here is cliche, but really it is something to be able to actually understand and fully accept many cliches in life

Yes the world is unfair.

Face the facts.

that's life.

But! Don't complain. Count your blessings. How much better off you are. How much more God has given you compared to others. You have everything you need, and almost everything you can ever want. And if you TRULY believe, everything is given to you.

Don't complain. God has given you so much.

Don't compare yourself to others so often. Ask yourself "What is God's vision for me?" God did not give you what you have right now in life because of some random decision. Therefore, make-do with what you have, with what was freely given to you. For all things come from the Father.

Do the best with what you have, with what was given to you

You can't save everyone

I told you guys about the girl in my employ, who i reached my hand out to in order to gear her life back on track... i really did try, and it was really the only thing in my mind through out this long weekend. Therefore, i really did plan to go meet my uncle first thing Tuesday at the other office to tell him about her situation. His words were wise as usual, telling me that she was unfit for the position since her taste buds would be different as she is with child. true words, but i tried to plead her case. My uncle did not give a final answer, but he gave a hint that it would be better for the Company to wait for her to give birth, then perhaps consider her for the position afterward. If ever though, he told me to tell her that she should be the one to approach him face to face to give him her final answer and verbal covenant of hard work throughout her pregnancy. Good words, and a good message. I was therefore elated to leave the office and pass the message back to my employee

I will be brief. She did not leave her abusive relationship with the guy who knocked her up. She even lied and slept over again at his place, when she told me and my supervisors that she would leave the guy. Why i feel bad is because the guy did hit her a couple of times before. If he really cared for her, he would've had her checked up since shes already 3 months in. He would let her go because he should know her situation is difficult and having him in her life would surely only complicate things. Needless to say, she broke my trust, and since she lied, i cannot even imagine anymore of putting her into the position i wanted so much for her. It would have been a great position and she would surely learn so much things from our chief food technician

You can't save everybody K. As it turns out, now you even look more like the paki-alamero. I did cross the line though in the business sense. As a boss, or as any employee, personal problems should never be involved in business. Yes there was someone more deserving than her. so yes, it was a lapse of judgment in my part. And yes, i will now consider the one more deserving over the one who needs in more. Note : Needs not wants.

I guess in the girl's eyes, it always is better to bat for the best case scenario - to believe that the guy will actually change, shape up and be a good man and father. One of them will have to leave their jobs, but the they can always find another. Both of them would then be employed, fall in love and have the child - grow to be a happy family. Could work, yes, but not likely.

I tried. i really did, but i am stopping here and letting God take control of things. He did actually show me three signs. Imagine... He really did answer me in three ways...it really is amazing.

(1) The night i found out about the pregnancy and the girl's situation, i was grief stricken and something overcame me. I don't know what i was thinking but i decided to go to the nearest pharmacy and buy some prenatal vitamins (as i knew she was not taking any) - Lo and Behold they just ran out of stock. So i just went home empty handed

(2) Went to see my uncle Tuesday. Came to the office at 8am. He usually arrives at that time since there's a meeting at 10:00. Well, he came at 10:00. I waited two hours rehearsing in my mind what i would tell him. Well he didn't give me a direct answer, but the real answer was :No, not until she gives birth.

(3) Lastly and again, B rejects a batch of our cans. Now this doesn't happen often...but the girl was the QA at that time...wow...and this just happened today

There really were signs, and i choose not to see it as coincidence. I am not sour or anything..actually i really do want everything to turn out for the better for her. i really do. Shes a nice girl, hardworking and came up from a very hard life, but i think God is really giving me signs that He will take control. I did my part and can sleep in peace tonight. I reached out from up above to give her a hand, but she chose something else. I hope she is making the right decision for her life. Then again, God's will be done.

A seed. A Testimony

E, i would just like you to know that the Bicolano Bible you were able to acquire a few weeks ago went to one of my engineers. He is also about to resign, and he knew that every now and then i 'preach' to some of the employees. So he took the opportunity to ask me for a Bicolano Bible last Christmas. I asked around and you were the only one who was able to procure a copy. So i was only able to give it to him some time this March.

Well he was really excited to have received it and even let me sign it. He is a really good friend of mine. So just after one week that he received his Bible he has already read all the way to 1 Samuel! He asked me quite a few questions about Eli and David, and praise God, i was able to answer him. It also opened an opportunity for me to preach about the events of easter and the death of Christ. He was so interested and i told him everything!

Well he will be going to England this June, since he just got married and is to join his wife there. I'm just happy that we were able to plant this seed together. All really thanks to that Bible you were able to get for us. I'm sure that this seed will go a long way half way around the world. May God do His work. All glory is His

Good Luck!

In the Philippines, a number of Chinese clans/families are predominantly Christian.

That's well and good. However, there's times when I'd hear certain Christian family members hiring 'geomancers' or consulting with various feng-shui "experts" to predict their good fortunes for the year. Excuse me if I'm wrong here, but aren't these people paid to tell you what you want to hear?

This has always troubled me, but maybe I'm just overthinking things.

What is your life verse?

Someone asked me this before, and at that time, i shamefully admit that i was a fake Christian, and didn't know how to respond. So I have been on the lookout ever since for a life verse, and i have been posting this verse in my profile for quite some time now.

What's the importance of a life verse? well personally since you consider it yours, its personal already. Part of your identity, and its something i am striving to live by - striving not by my own efforts of course, but with the help of Christ and the Holy Spirit.

So here is the life verse of KPCC from Galatians 2:20-21

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

What is your life verse?

What would you say to God when you die

So today one of the office secretaries told me a story about her boss. The boss asks her "What would you say to God when you die?" of course she laughed and didn't take the question seriously, but I'm pretty sure that the boss (my uncle) was taking that question to heart.

So i responded to the story with a question "Yes, what indeed would you say to God when you died? What would you have to show for?"

And yes really, would our responses be "I lived my life to get rich, to aim for the highest of earthly ambition and to raise a family - basically pretty much living for myself.", or would it be "I lived my life for you Lord."

Of course we can't always be straight with God, since we're just human. But it is something to think about yea?

How to be unashamed when singing praise and worship

So i was just thinking the other day while i was looking around a sanctuary during a praise and worship session...

There are always your stereotypical people who try to act 'cool' and not sing, and the people who raise their hands in absolute devotion to the songs as the melody sweeps them. Two complete opposites yes?

So when you find yourself in a situation where it seems 'kakahiya' to clap your hands or sing songs to God, just think of it this way : You live your life not for anyone to see, not for anyone to hear. You live it for God. One Audience / An Audience of One. Absorb the lyrics of the song, even if the melody is crappy, and treat it as if you were speaking directly to God and He was listening to you (which He always does). I don't know if i make sense, but it seemed to work for me, especially when i first stepped foot into ccf lol.

anyway...
